bernard, exactly what is to be checked? i have the same issue and it's really disappointing to work on so many pictures for several hours only to see them desaturated when you post. thanks for any guidance you can give. :)

if you are editing photos in CS2/ACR under the Adobe RGB color space, that information will be lost when you display your file in an online host such as flickr or multiply since web applications use SRGB color space. so beware if you are shooting JPEG and your camera is set to Adobe RGB....the web will mangle your jpeg files colors, often discarding out of gamut colors.

if you intend to post pics online, best to work in SRGB during the editing so at least the colors are at the web's native color space na. no more surprises, no more desaturated colors. or at least use Edit > Convert to Profile command, using perceptual rendering (this was explained by Jo Avila during the canon print like a pro seminar at bella luce). Use save as and make sure the profile (SRGB) is embedded.

hmmm....lots of things to research under color management.

yeah, i remember his class in color correction/color management discussing that. sigh. if only i listened. :p

but thanks for sharing, jay! i'll surely keep these info in mind when processing. :)

You should start viewing galleries in Apple Safari. It's ICC aware and renders images with embedded ICC profiles accurately. I did a side-by-side comparison of the same image in IE and Safari and it's like night and day.

there's a 3.0 beta version for windows. Me, the only time I get to use a mac is when my sister is home. I love Garageband! Two days na lang!
