You can bike from Manila to Tanay but you can take your vehicle to Tanay town proper and start your adventure from there. Daraitan is the same road going to Daranak and Camp Capinpin in Sampaloc Tanay.
The trip from Tanay to Sampaloc is via a cemented road with some rough roads in between, majority of which is inclined. The adventure start when you enter the access road to Daraitan. You will begin with a continious downhill then some uphill climbs then finally, another downhill ride. You can refresh yourself in Daraitan withits pristine rivers and other eco-destiantions. On your way back, you can either bike your way back or ride atop the local jeepneys.
